lol what happened when you couldn't pay? too bad you weren't female so you could go around asking for money from guys like paris hilton + nicole ritchie did in that stupid simple life commercial. lol.
the earplugs worked great! i just went to the local pharmacy store (riteaid/duane reade here) and got the ones that were for noise..i think mine said 'reduces up to 33 decibels of noise.' they are definitely great for long trips. it was a little weird when i slowed down in the city, couldn't hear like i normally do, with the muffled noises..but i didn't have a headache or ringing ears at all after the long ride and high revs on the ninja 250. i imagine on bigger bikes you could cruise along at 85mph at lower rpms so the noise wouldn't be as bad.
edit: anyone know how to make my seat more comfortable? maybe i have to get a new seat?

I've heard good things about these:

Don't have one myself though so I can't give a first-hand report.
Other trick is to carry more of your weight on the footpegs.

Ride it like you think owning it matters.

I had that happen in my CAR (no money for the toll).
I stopped at the booth and told them my problem. I had no cash and the tollway did not take credit cards. They took my info, but I never did hear anything further.
I've gone thru that same tollway since and never been stopped. So maybe they forgive the first Oopsie.

When you think you'll start receiving your Social Security Income, they'll hit you with a fine on that 75 cent toll fee that has accumlated back taxes and late payment fees for the last 30 years that adds up to abour $400,000.Lion_Lady wrote:So maybe they forgive the first Oopsie.

I'm glad we don't have to deal with tolls down here in TX.
I know! I was clueless to them too (from CC; SA is my 2nd home). Though the tolls in Dallas gave me a good run for my money - literally. I thought I was getting good at tossing coins into the catch basket until OUR VERY LAST COIN stuck to my hand and instead of landing in the basket with the rest, it rolled down the street

Lion Lady, good idea about the coins in a zip lock bag. We'll have to try that next time on the toll roads. Of course, the cost of tolls around here are so much it takes the folding kind.
