Deal's Gap/Fontana Village - July 15th to 17th

#1 Unread post by ShawnKing »

My wife and I love riding the roads around Deal's Gap/Fontana Village - so we're going again this weekend!

We'd love to meet up with as many people as possible so...we have a plan. :)

At The bottom of Fontana Village's road on US 28 ("HellBender") is a Gas Station/Souvenir shack/Bar that serves some pretty good beer (Stone Mill and Wild Hops are my fave). We'd love to meet up there on Saturday evening at 5pm. I'll buy the first beer for anyone who shows up between 5 and 6pm. :)

Look for a big red and black Royal Star Tour Deluxe (black helmet, red jacket) and a little blue and white Suzuki GS500F (red helmet, blue jacket) and two people who look like this:

We are also staying at the Kickstand Lodge - Fred and Mo are great and will make you breakfast on Sunday morning! :)

I'll also have some prizes and goodies to giveaway between 5 and 6pm. So....who's in!? :)

We made it back from The Dragon again - not without some (minor) adventures but none the worse for wear.

Click here for pics of our trip.

While there, we had a chance to not only interview Yellow Wolf about his riding and his company, Yellow Wolf Videos but to also have ourselves recorded as we ran the Dragon!

You can also listen to the interview while watching me (slowly) run the Dragon. Go to the above links to see/download the video.
