Suzuki GS 500 F

#1 Unread post by azsnkman »

Hey all,

I take the msf class on this month, 27-30 and after will be looking for a bike. I have never ridden a bike and like the way the GS500 looks and feels..course that may change after class..lol...anyhow I have been looking on ebay, craigslist etc for a used one and cant find anything near me. I dont mind going new. Are they just hard to locate?

thanks

GS500 is a well known starter bike. It's always in demand. Very very hard to find used.

I dont think you can go wrong with one. They are a fun little bike.

You say small engine but they will get up and go enough to get any newbie in trouble.

I had a 2004 GS500F as my first bike. It was a great bike...fairly light, quite forgiving, and pretty decent-looking, if that matters. I actually was looking around for a used GS500 with no fairing, but had trouble finding one, and then got the GSF on a dealer clearout for $4999 Cdn. Interestingly, any used GSF's I've seen have had asking prices at or above what I paid for mine new!

Good luck in your search...and enjoy the MSF course!
