'93 Nighthawk 750...almost 4 months and 3500 miles...(mother-in-law NOT included)...never laid it down...umm... the BIKE that is, not the mother-in-law!! In jest, I asked her if she wanted a ride and she called my bluff...so, we went down the road and back.

01 SV650S. Was a fun bike but it was this weird red color that I just couldn't get over.

And it had carbon fiber everywhere much to my distaste.

Honda XL250 Endero

#15 Unread post by M109R »

First bike ever ridden at 12 was an old 72 Honda 125. Had a hillarious accidental ride through a freshly plowed garden where whenever I hit a rut my hand (in death grip) would pull hard down on the throttle and bounced thru the garden. Everyone was rolling on the ground it so funny. Wish I had a video of that one.

My first bike ever owned when I was 14 was a 78 Honda XL250 Enduro. Paid half with my brother and bought from uncle.

Stupid squid brother trashed it the first week we got it. Came into the house with scrapes and blood with his pants torn from the shin to the thigh. All he said was, "I crashed." Broke the clutch bracket, destroyed the headlight assembly and put a huge dent in the gas tank. Dumb A#$ Didn't even pay for the damages.

After it was fixed, enjoyed every minute on that bike riding at an abandoned quarry. :D

2nd bike was an 83 Honda Nighthawk 450. Fun bike, but way underpowered.

1986 Suzuki GS550ES:
First bike (had it for a couple months before it officially crapped out).

1988 Kawasaki Ninja ZX600:
Technically my second bike, but having the Suzuki for such a short time theoretically makes this my first bike too. Had it for 3 months and so far no major problems.

Check out my personal gallery for pics. Visit my gallery!

1985 Honda Rebel. I put 1500 miles on it and sold it. I now ride a 1992 Yamaha Seca II XJ600. Close to 1500 miles on it since March, mostly commuting to school.

86 Nighthawk 450. That pic was taken a couple days after I got it, with a new front tire installed. I got a new back tire the next day, it had to be ordered.

I have been 3400 mi. on this bike and rode it in the North Caralina foothills this past week. I have dropped it twice , its amazing how easy it can be done. The first time I forgot to put the kickstand down while getting off with a box of stuff in my hands. The second was while parking it, one should never touch the front brake in a low speed u-turn. I wont do that again. No damage to the bike or me. I have no pride.

I love the little bike, I would highly recommend it to a beginner like me. I have no previous experience, and have been riding it just a hair over 2 months.

Beach.
