Oh, heres a story for you!
I drive by the dealership on my way back from my ride, the front brake has been squeeking since I got it, and I wanted to give it a bit of time before I brought it in, just in case it was just the stuf settling in and what not. so in I go, and Im told that they are all going home soon, but they can have a quick look. the service tech pops off the front brake caliper, and says "oh, theres a clip that rubbing against your disk, we'll just move it" and he proceeds to use a little screw driver and pops the clips a little, and then put it back on. using an impact wrench. when he finishes he looks and goes, "oh, it popped back off one sec" and tries to take the caliper off. tries being the word. the wrench or how he put it on seems to have stripped the bolt......
so I now get a new brake caliper and bolts. Yay.... and they better not charge me for their mess up if its not warrentee covered (being brakes wear part).
also they will look at my rear brakes as well, I get a bit of a scraping noise. and they will install my windshield.

Hi Pete. Congratulations on the new bike, it looks like a sweet ride.
A word of wisdom about breaking torque with a ratchet: don't. Especially not with a cheater bar. The inside of a ratchet is made of little gears that can break. Try to use a box end wrench or a breaker bar (like a ratchet, but with a hinge instead of the ratchet part) instead.

allo to who ever reads this!
well, tonight went for a little spin to my moms house. Shes been saying that she wanted to go for a ride, since my dad used to have a motorcycle years ago (like probably about 15 years before I was born *Lol*) and tonight she asks me, well, you going to take me for a ride on your bike? I figured why not, I have never riden with a passenger beofre, so it was a new thing for me. My mom got a kick out of it though.
She even said that she may get herself a motorcycle.... She jokes and says she'll be 60 when she gets it though.
I think shes serious about it as well, so who knows, maybe I'll write about my moms bike at some point *L
Oh, my dad used to drive a little honda 90, and my mom tells me it used to bog out going up some of the hills back home, so shed have to walk up when theyd go riding.... my Vulcan 500 didnt have a problem
