And for whom is that intended to be seen by?

Well if you only intended for me to see it, then you should have sent it in a more secure manner such as a PM or email. You have no idea how many people are watching this conversation right now. Could be just you me and the mods/admins or, it could be hundreds or thousands. you just never know do ya?

Don't care either.

The difference between mass media and specialized media is that mass media is intended for broad audiences while specialized media is intended for narrow audiences.

The point of the internet is that it can support both types of media, as opposed to RF broadcasting which is far better at supporting mass media (one signal going from a central source to everyone and their cousin) and far worse at supporting specialized media (everyone and their cousin sending a signal to each other).

This isn't complicated. Suggest you sign up for a media class at Saddleback or the like.

What!?!? Are you trying to tell me that the man who tells me the day's event on the evening news is talking to other people at the same time?!?!

Has the world gone insane?

I like Neil Young. He is a serious talent and usually has something to say. If anything, he added muscle and strength to CSN, and if anyone milked anyone else, it was CSN who milked Young, not the other way around. His body of work has been impressive and he was able to adapt to the times, a rare accomplishment. Neil Young the musician is awesome.

That said, I despise the new CD. I bought it, listened carefully to every track, and gave it away to a friend with a like-minded philosophy to Young's. As a career military man, it offended me greatly. I could care less about the bone he threw to the soldiers. He also wrote "tin soldiers and Nixon coming," so I doubt he really evolved over the decades. Nothing is more demeaning to a soldier than being called a "tin soldier."

I could care less about his political views and he has a right to voice his Leftist drivel, as do many other extremely talented but dense musicians do. Believing that we are at war, however, I support our efforts to win it. If Young voiced these opinions in WWII or any earlier war, he would have to live permanently in Canada, because he would be jailed for sedition in the USA.
