I dropped it.
So today I laid my bike down. Well I think it was anything but easy going. A better term would be lowsiding it. For Bush I was up above where 15 takes the left to go over the mountain. It is a really twisty road. I was near the top and I went into a corner alittle to fast. So when I tried to lean and push through it the bike went out from under me. The next thing I know I am watching the bike slide across the gravel along side of the road and I am sliding with it. I am glad that by the time I went down I was only doing 20-25mph. The left hand turn signal is broken and the fairings are all scratched up. It is not really all that bad. I will have pics later tonight. I have alittle road rash on my elbow from the lining of my jacket, which I am thankful I had on. That damn thing saved me from picking stones out of my arm and shoulder. Plus a trip to the hospital to get everything cleaned out. And there is a cut on my leg from the belt loop of my jeans. Yes I was wearing normal jeans and there is not one rip or tear in them. So there is another point that I was not going too fast when I hit. I am hoping to get the turn signal fixed tomorrow and be riding again Friday. I want to hit that road up and try to make it throught that corner. So I will let you all know how that goes on Friday.

I plan on going back on friday and taking on that road again. I think that will get my confidence back up a few pegs.
Here are some pics of the damage. I must say though. The camera did not pick up on alot of the little scratches.

it's not that bad... minor scrathes can be easily masked or removed.
anyway... i saw a GS500 at the race track last sunday... i didn't check it out for long but i did notice he had low handle bars.
you might wanna try that w/ your bike... get used to the aggressive riding position for when you get a gixxer.
