I have lowsided in gravel while wearing an Alpinestars T-Stunt Mesh jacket. It kept all rocks out but the inside lining gave me alittle rash on my elbow. The armor worked great. On a better side it really lets air flow at speed. I have ridden hours at 93 degree weather and barely broke a sweat.

Thats really good to know. I can cope with a little mesh burn if need be! How fast do you think you were going?m1a1dvr wrote:I have lowsided in gravel while wearing an Alpinestars T-Stunt Mesh jacket. I have a black Joe Rocket Ballistic jacket. Without the lining it's fine in the heat when you're moving, but brutal at a standstill. I'm thinking the biggest reason is the color. I'm in the market for a silver mesh and/or textile jacket for the summer.
When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.

holy leg humping batman!
I'm not sure I'd trust mesh only jackets. Perfed leather would be nice though.
And +1 for tourmaster gear. I have the TM "Advanced" jacket and love it. Sure it's warm at the stops, but i have confidence in the jacket. The armor works good, a smart alec co-worker thought it'd be smart to punch me in the arm, and caught the armor. Hurt his hand, and i didn't feel it at all.

One other thing, if you decide to ride on the street and are not cooling properly, try the under armor stuff, works well...I soak mine down with a spray of cold water before I head out on the track for a nice hot 110 degree session for 20 minutes. (Riding on the track=no resting anywhere, mentally, or physically)
Its all about the Ride!
