How do I get my front tire off of my gsxr 600

I have a 2004 gsxr 600. I am trying to get my front tires off so get it changed. i don't know what else to do after i lossen up the pinch bolts. I turned the bolt on the side but it seems to be doing nothing. can anyone give me the answer i am looking for? thanks.

retighten the pinch bolts on the left* side - this will hold the nut in place while you turn the axle out from the other side.

*left being your left if you are sitting on the bike looking towards the front wheel
