kickstand kill switch

If you bypass the switch, make sure it won't come undone while riding. It would suck to have the engine quit at a bad time.

The switch is normally closed when the kick stand is up. So you can remove the wires from the swtich and solder them together to bypass it. Make sure you leave some excess on the switch end so you can later solder in the switch when you replace the kick stand.

But my recommendation would be to just buy a new kickstand and install it, then everything will work normally again with much less work.

This one's a 'no-brainer'. Get a new kickstand. Plus, if you act now, you'll receive better stability for your bike when it's parked using the sidestand as opposed to the centerstand. Especially on inclines.. :mrgreen:
