THis has got to be a joke

This article can't be real, it's sounding more like a fictional police state story. At least the kids weren't doing drugs or tagging up.

On a brighter note (from someone else on that site): In the criminal justice system, arboreal trespassing offenses are considered especially heinous. In the West Midlands, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Halesowen police. These are their stories.

The bastrd beat me to posting that kinda comment... lousy blackout.

I think vandalising a tree is far worse than vandalising a building.
That'll learn 'em.

in china they would have been executed, gotta keep that human organ business up and running with nice young organs.

as for this incident in the UK. That is what happens when you trade freedom for security. I see why so many Brits want to leave the UK.

I'm in the UK, and I think security is the right way to go, within reason... Only reason I wish to leave, is because of the opressive economy. It's becoming a rich get richer, and the poor get poorer type deal again

It's slowly becoming the same way here in the U.S. The congress just refused to raise minimum wage so people now are considered to be at poverty level. Meanwhile the same congress gave themselves a raise in their own salary so THEY can keep up with cost of living.

I'm not sure if that tree was anything historical or spectacular but trees as I remember still grow even when you break a branch or two. With the storms we had recently maybe the constables could fly over here and arrest mother nature for cruelty.
