I've got a Honda 599, which is virtually the same bike. And I just completed a 3600km round trip (about 2300 miles as a rough estimate) in 4 days of riding (with enough luggage for a 1 week vacation). If I can do it, so can you.

Just remember riding a bike is much more tiring then driving a car, and trips that long are something you need to work up too. Getting a bike with a windscreen or fairing will make a big difference, and wearing earplugs will help a lot.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
