yeah but they prolly low sided at speed in a corner with the bike 4 inches from the tarmac from which a milli second later it was sliding across nice smooth grass until it sedately stopped

not quite the "throw it down the bitchumen and gravel path from a upright position" is it :)

good your not hurt.....bikes are easily fixed or replaced
thanks... i looked at it again... the screw connecting the slider seems to be still straight.

oh well, here's hoping it's not very bad.

Good old gravel.

You should just grab a handful of the stuff and keep it in your pocket so in the event of a problem ie burning your toast or spelling a word wrong you can just throw the gravel on the ground and blame it.

heh

I mean, a lot of us have probably run into gravel while learning, I've even low sided on it once...but then again, it was while riding a 1980 Honda Enduro, which sustained no permanant damage....

Not an incredibly expensive bike...

Im sure I dont look as cool on the Enduro though...

But maybe I do, hard to look cool when you are sliding down a hill on your side...

I just checked and the pool winnings came out to -$0.43.

Mike borrowed $0.53 to buy a package of Ichiban Noodles to keep from passing out with hunger last month.

You owe me 43 cents Verm.

$.43 US is like $7.3BIL Canukistanian Dollahs isn't it? heh  Buzz is rich!

Verm I told you not to hurt that bike didn't I!? The only way to live this down is to buy a set of bright pink assless chaps, and wear them every single time you ride. When I talked to Ben Spies back in April at Barber he said he was thinking about doing something similar.

Sad to hear yuo crashed... glad to hear that you came out of it in one piece.

Do you want to hear how the suggestions we made about your riding style could have helped prevent a low side on gravel?
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

yeah sure, only thing i could think of is that should have never rode over it or i should have just power walked the bike over it. but then, i don't think power walking will be good too since my boots might slip too.

so yeah, lay on it me Sev. what could have i done other than those things i mentioned above?
