saw it last night, just, wow. that's all that came out of my mouth for the ride home last night. incredible movie, all the political b.s. is left out of it, and they focus on the two families. i highly recommend it.

They turned an act of terrorism like that into a movie?
Thats just plane wrong
***EDIT***
So are the proceeds from piggy backing on an international tragedy at least going to charity, rather than making a movie company rich?

i love all the "oh we made this movie to show the heroes" and the "theres no politics whatsoever" but it looks like there will be plenty of profits. "Donut Holes". if i hear the movies profits go to charity ill change my mind instantly.
this reminds me of the whole catholic church molestation thing, where the lawyers for the people were like 'this is a great day that we can finally have closure for the victims' when they heard they were getting a shitton of money. of course the lawyers failed to mention theyd be pocketing a something like a cool 30 mil out of it.

absolutely nothing, but if the reason (or mostly the reason, or half the reason) people go to see the movie is to learn about the heroes, shouldnt the heroes (or charities associated with) be the ones who gain from it? This isnt a historical event, its a modern event, and the studio is just cashing in on others misfortune. If this were really an educational/emotional film it would be something you could go see at a 911 museum/memorial with the proceeds going to said establishment.
i would love to go see this movie, but im not going to line oliver stone or nicolas cage's pockets.

It's just a movie. It's entertainment.GrandGT wrote:absolutely nothing, but if the reason (or mostly the reason, or half the reason) people go to see the movie is to learn about the heroes, shouldnt the heroes (or charities associated with) be the ones who gain from it? Regular people pay to go to the movies and see an entertaining film.
Get over it.
