Another Newbie

#1 Unread post by 307T »

Hello. Returning rider (raced Sportsman Class C 30 years ago). Bought a naked bike in Feb and have put 2000 miles on it since then. Having loads of fun. Have a tire question but will find the appropriate forum on which to ask. Happy trails.

I suddenly have a descriptive subtitle under my name. 'Tricycle Squid?" I don't think so. Where did that come from? I cannot find an entry like that on the profile page.

Upper left corner....that must mean Washington. I was riding Hwy 9 and the Chuckanut last Saturday.
Washington is a pretty state. Almost as nice as British columbia.

Washington would be the top left corner. I'm in Oregon. Loved BC the times that I have visited. Both the people and the country are quite nice.

Perhaps you can tell me then....is it suitable weather for riding the Oregon coast in the beginning of October? First or second week?

Depends on what you are used to but there is a better than normal chance that it will be raining. Temps at this time of the year are probably close to what you experience in Vancouver. The forecast is for slightly higher temperatures than usual this year (that would probably be in the 50's). There is sure to be some weather-guesser website that a government climatologist provides. In reality, it's anyone's guess. I'd say be prepared for rain and dress warm. You can always peel stuff off if it gets too hot but it's hard to warm up if you are cold already.
