Hello From Plano Texas

#1 Unread post by Russ Briley »

I've heard this is the friendliest forum out there and from what I have read, they're right. So here I am.

I ride a 2001 RoadStar and my wife rides a 2003 VStar 1100.

Say, how do I put an avatar on here? I checked out the Profile section but no luck there.

Russ

:welcome: You heard right. This is a friendly place to hangout and chat and share info.

When you made your profile, did you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page? That is where you can upload an avatar.

Thanks for the welcome.

Yes, scrolled to the bottom but did not find anything resembling a file upload for avatars. Hmmmm, perhaps I am overlooking it somehow, but danged if I can see it. And while we are discussing my forum skills, how do you add a picture? Copy paste has no effect. I know I'll need that skill to show bike parts.

You will need to upload your pictures to a site like image shack or photo bucket or pics place. They are free internet photo places.
Then when you have uploaded your pictures to the site, you can then right click on the image, click on properties and copy the URL.

Then when you make a post in here, you can click on the img....

Oh Well

Oh Well, between the Avatar and images posting, I have a feeling my system is somehow incompatible.

But that wont stop me from participating and talking :-)

So if you want to see my pics, you can see them on my profile. They did successfully post there.
