Newbie Scooterist here

#1 Unread post by Veda »

Hello folks. I have been lurking on your fine boards for a month or two and have read a lot of great advice. I especially love reading the blog section of the site. I think reading some of the great travel stories really helped me make the decision to move into the world of two wheels.

I have to admit that I technically don't ride a motorcycle, I ride a 125cc Yamaha scooter. I hope that I don't look like a poser among all the motorcyclists here. I find that a lot of motorcyclists on the road don't know what to make of my little scooter. Some won't return my waves and others will wave and then double take when they realize I'm a scooter.

Oh, and some of you may know me as Nalian's better half. If you ever see a Harley following a little scooter around the streets of Boston that's us.

:welcome: lord veda.

do you pronounce it as veydah?

anyway... don't worry about the "poser" issue.

nalian was in SoCal a few months ago but she caged it. maybe next time you guys go here... we should meet and ride. i wanna see your scoot on the canyons.

if bicyclist do it then there should be no problem for a scoot. although those mountain bikes do have bigger tires and better suspension.

It depends, does veyda sound like vay-da? If so, yes, that's how I pronounce it.

I don't know about those canyons - maybe if there is a bunny hill version.
