so does a rock laying on the side of the road somewhere . In all honesty since I only ride at night and only park in parking lots that are not tar I dont carry anything but if I ever need one I will probably just cut a piece of diamond plate here at work and use that .
My bike tends to be a bit top heavy, and the gravel parking lot at work can get a bit soft, so I have a plate that I made and keep clipped to my tankbag.
Yep. I have one shaped like a foot. It is attached to a long shoestring with a loop in the end. The loop goes around the grip. When I get ready to leave, just pull the string.
I would be the old, slow guy. Just let me know where you are going and I'll try to get there before you leave.

Clever but lazy
I haven't had need for one of these...even on tar my bike hasn't threatened to sink. I suppose I should give it more consideration in these hot summers!
