I'm new here too and to riding a manual transmission machine, so I just bought a '96 Rebel on Tuesday. Still trying to get really comfortable with getting moving with throttle and clutch in first, but am sure the MSF course next week will help with that.

I have my eye on a Shadow Aero 750 too. I sat on one yesterday at our local Honda/Suzuki shop and it felt AWESOME!!!!

I've had a few goes on my partner's ZX10R, but that beast aint for me to tame quite yet - I think I'll wait a little while until I take that bike from him

I ride a standard naked '00 Honda VTR 250. I'm just starting out, but I look forward to enjoying it as much as DH does !

The FJ was categorized as a sport bike in its day, but I consider it more a standard because of its upright riding position.

Hi, I am new here. I actually bought a 2000 Buell Blast as my first bike ( beginner here ) in spring of this year. I think I have rode it 5 miles?? And no permit yet!! I love my beginner bike. Its really loud LOL. Hopefully spring of 2007 I will be out riding for keeps :)
