"portable" seat pads.
"portable" seat pads.
Has anybody out there had any experience with gel pads or airhawk type pads for comfort and flexibility for use on a Yami 650. I am looking for an alternative before buying a new seat - which may not solve the problem. Thanks, My v-star 650 original seat is murder on long rides but fine for the short stuff! Thanks, Rich
My stock seat on my S-50 suzuki was a pain in the butt too and wanted to try the alternative you're inquiring about and did some research here...

However I opted to buy a Mustang seat. It was more than what I wanted to invest, but now I realize it's the best investment I made. No more sore numb monkey butt here and can ride long trips w/o any discomfort.
The review stated the wood bead cushion was the best in the roundup

I got an Airhawk for my BMW thumper. It helped keep me comfortable on 300+ mile days.
On my bigger BMW I've got a Sargent Custom seat for me, but I got an Airhawk pillion for my daughter for our trip to Atlanta, GA. She never once complained of a sore behind with the many hours we spent in the saddle.
Airhawk comes with a money back guarantee - if you don't like it, send it back to them and they'll refund your money! How can you go wrong?

therefore, the Airhawk was the best cushion in the lineup.FreeRide wrote:"As far as bum-soothers go we still haven't found anything better than the Roho Airhawk, and even the silly-looking beaded numbers have worked better than any gel job we've tested."
It just said the beads were better then any gel cushion. The Airhawk is not gel.
Make sense now?
