Surprisingly (well not that much), monkeys trained to sell these synthetic oils are instructed to tell the customer just that. It sells better. Most customers won't switch when they hear, "Well, it is tested to improve long-term durability and less wear on your engine over time, so you are more likely to hit that 200k miles in 10 years" when most people change cars every...year now?oldschoolorange wrote:MotoF150 wrote:go to www.amsoil.com and purchace the Amsoil Synthetic Motorcycle Engine Oil 10W40 and use that in ur bike. Hey, hey, hey, dont forget to top up your washer fluid in your truck as well as if it is low it can cause a missfire.
Man you are dumb, no cookie for you

when young getting old..old getting young..
dummies! the reason why you get an increase in top speed when you switch to Amsoil is because using Amsoil you get "0" CLUTCH SLIPPAGE, with all bikes with wet clutches its normal to have 20% clutch slippage, but when you use Amsoil you get NO CLUTCH SLIPPAGE resulting in a higher top speed! You guys tend to forget a motorcycle oil has 2 duties, its and engine crankcase oil and a clutch and transmission oil !! I will bet you guys anything you will get a higher top speed on ur bike after you switch to Amsoil! I did and I know many others that did too!

How can you say this stuff in one thread and ask what good a battery charger is in another thread?
Do you actually believe what you just typed?

We're off to a great start!MotoF150 wrote:dummies!
Sure buddy. You can really feel that clutch slippage, especially on those air-cooled Ducati clutches.MotoF150 wrote:...the reason why you get an increase in top speed when you switch to Amsoil is because using Amsoil you get "0" CLUTCH SLIPPAGE, with all bikes with wet clutches its normal to have 20% clutch slippage, but when you use Amsoil you get NO CLUTCH SLIPPAGE resulting in a higher top speed!

I'd like to see some dyno results on it. Don't forget to factor in environmental differences such as ambient air temp, humidity and engine temperature.MotoF150 wrote:I will bet you guys anything you will get a higher top speed on ur bike after you switch to Amsoil! Besides, if your top speed is gearing limited, not drag limited, Amsoil ain't gonna do snot except lighten your wallet.
But don't get me wrong, please stop posting, you're much more interesting than our other "favorite" prolific poster.

I have proof, go to www.amsoil.com and read the "White Pages On Motorcycle Oil" maybe if you guys would understand how a clutch works you would understand. Before I tried Amsoil I was the same way, I thought those claims were full of it, then I tried Amsoil in my DRZ400S, I WAS HOOKED! Amsoil turned that bike into a totally different bike, gone was the hard shifting, overheating, hard starting, and I noticed a top speed increase from 82mph to 95mph. I also use Amsoil in my ATV, now the overheating fan never turns on and I noticed a BIG increase in power
