That was how my day started. On the way to work the bike started manuvering differently. On the turn she refused to counter-steer at all. After I regained control of the turn the handle bars started "Tank Slapping".
At this point I was on a straigt road so I slowed down allowing me to gain control again. I pulled the bike off the road and discovered the tire was blown. Fortunately I was only a mile from work so I packed my gear into my backpack and started the walk.
After I got to work my boss and my co-workers loaded the bike into a truck and delivered the wounded beast to my house.
Needless to say I am safe - the bike is fine but I have a new appreciation for tires.

You got some skills, Pinger! Controlling a front blow-out and not crashing, especially when the blow-out occurs in a corner takes some quick thinking, and some skillful maneuvering. Sorry about the tire, but you can be glad you didn't go down.

Not quite as impressive as CentralOzHog's vid where the guy gets thrown off his bike and hangs on, then remounts at racing speeds. But close.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

At the time I didnt thing anything about how difficult the manuver was - I was just trying to avoid the Joshua tree I was racing for on the side of the road....After I missed that my concentration turned to getting out of the left side of the road and back to the correct side and slowing down.
When it was all over and done with I thought to myself that I am lucky it was on my 750 and not the wing... BTW I think I mis-stated the tire problem...insted of blowout I should have said that the front tire decided to deflate rapidly through the sidewall...very rapidly. Yesterday I bought a new tire, and tonight I am gonna borrow a jack to replace the tire.
