Not only is the Givi taller, it's wider, and shaped the push the wind more over my head than directly at it. You can't tell it in this picture, but it also deflects it away from my hands.

I just changed the stock windshield that came on my Yamaha Majesty for a larger one made by Givi. The larger one definately breaks the wind better. I have an 80 mile one way ride to work most every day, (includidng a number of below/just above freezing days last winter) and I assure you it's more than worth the cost.
