I am a middle age crisis newbie
HI I am a newbie. Am signed up for Motorcycle Safety Course in two weeks. I purchased a 1981 Honda CM400T for my starter bike. Hope I can get it running soon. I love this forum. Thanks!

Better to get started late, then never. And good job on the MSF course, it's extremely helpful, and it looks like you've got a great starter bike. This wasn't the best section to post that in thought. "Start your engines", "new riders", or "total motorcycle" would have been better.

I took the MSF course in July and it was totally worth it. I too bought an old 400cc bike and fixed it up, it was a fun little project to get the bike up and going. Some parts can be tough to find for old bikes like ours, if you need hard to find parts try bikebandit.com as they were pretty good for me as well as Ebay.
Good luck with the course and the bike...

congrads.....
i think the only crappy part of the MSf this time of year is thatt you'll get all amped once you are done w/ your class and Winter will set in and seems that in Chicago and probably in your neck of the woods, MC riding may not always be an option for us......
but good lucky, ask questions and enjoy it...................
