Selling a bike you financed new is going to be rough, because you accept a certain loss in value of the vehicle when you buy it (called depreciation)...which depending on the vehicle can be hundreds to thousands of dollars. Used well kept bikes will hold their value better. The process of selling is the same, except you have to get the money and pay off the lein holder before they will give you the title that you can sign over to the new owner. So you have to take his money and process the paperwork before he will actually own the bike, instead of just signing over the title and filing a few forms with the DMV if you had owned it outright.

dude, you can buy Ninja 250 for about $3500 OTD (MSRP is $2999). It doesn't look quite as nice, but it is very reliable and has been around for a loooong time. It is also a very-well known starter bike so you will have no problem reselling it after a season or two of riding.

Yea, i know all about the ninja, thanks though!!

So i went to this local dealer that sells em. I definetly dig that UM. I sat on it, i really like the feel. And the bike in person looks great. It's a 2007 UM V2S-250R. 249cc 4-stroke 2-cyl 5spd. Dry weight is 390lbs, thats crazy.

I've decided I'll go with that. They wan't $3,999 for it.

Apparently that other bike company just sold them some of the rights to sell that body style under their name. Not for the reason stated earlyer thuough haha. Tops out at 100mph apparently, not that I'll even come close to that until I end up on a track though. I'll probobably keep it until I pay it off though, just to make things easy. I'll defintly get it upon the sell of my second truck, which i'm already really pushing haha. But yea, I'm definetly stoked, thank's for all the help!

Haha no. It says prices START at $ 3,499. Not exactly sure what differences are?

EDIT: And yea, I may consider keeping the 250 as a commuter. But I'll just see how that goes. I'm not sure if it's best to move up that latter, 250,600,750ish, 800's,900's. Or If i could just see how it goes with the UM, and if I really dig it, I wouldn't have a problem saving up the cash for a Ducati 749. But I could see how that may be a little much for only a second bike. I've just been into Ducatis since I was 13. So it'd be kinda nice to have one, not necessarily for a second bike, but someday. Idealy I'd want a Ducati Monster, I haven't looked at the prices on those, but I have a feeling they're quite spendy.
