Dangerous Maintenance Failures?

A broken chain will potentially take out the left side crank case cover, destroy the front sprocket, rip off the chain guard, tear a chunk out of your calf. Make sure you clean and lube that chain, and watch it for wear.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
