this isn't so much of an issue if you tighten down the backpack in the shoulders and if it has an across the chest strap as well.

I have a Tinmuk2 messenger bag that I use to carry all my stuff instead of saddlebags.

They make great laptop bags too.

Hey,
I carry my laptop(15" toshiba) in a "sweeper" pack by north face.
It has a pocket for the laptop, padded shoulder straps and back, as well as
a strap that goes around your waist to keep everything snug against your body. Great pack that I fill up with work tools as well(so it ends up being pretty heavy) and have had no
problems with while riding as it is very comfortable.
Hope that helps. Also have you checked scuderia down on duboce?
They have lots of bike specific gear.
