* I'm not really caring, nor concerned, with your being "impressed", if I would post in small print: I post the way that I feel: You do not dictate as to the way I post
* Try using a little basic common sense to understand that which I write, as I do not need to make periods when using this method to post
* Italy {Duh}
* The quality will not suffer, all due in part that the motorcycles are going to be made in CHINA: Happy?.....

I'd be more impressed if it was written legibly. Next time try some paragraphs, and proper use of the...period. Regarding the topic, where was Augusta made before? I wonder what will happen to the quality.

No b......t. I was in the campus book store, and just this [past] week, read up on it being turn over to a chinese millionaire, [the new CHAIRMAN/OWNER] whom said that they are looking to take the company into a "different direction", in styling, and price... Wanting to set up a factory in either china, or move the old one, from where it was... As soon as I remember as to what motorcycle magazine that it was that I read this rumor in, I will get back with you and let you know.. And no: Don't go looking in motorcyclist, or cycleword magazine as it wasn't in either one of them.... It was in one of these "import" british superbike zines.... Untill next time ...........
So what?

I'm really impressed by this. We have an "official rumor" from some magazine or other with absolutly no details except that some guy wants to take a company in another direction.

But there are lots of these  so it must be important.

Thanks for that information filled update.

You can believe what you like, experience teaches me you are likely to be disappointed.

MV Augusta gets away with charging what it does because it is a premier make.

Same way that Aston Martin/Jaguar share R & D facilities with Ford but are still put together at their traditional sites, and yes while TVR are moving from the UK to Russia - but they wont be costing any less.

Industrialists are not interested in serving the world, or even their own countries most of the time - they are interested in their own bank balances.

How about discussing the finer points of the M/C and quite slagging each other over a period.

syndicate.01...for a new guy  .....it wouldn't hurt to play nice....and make your posts a little easier to read.

You or your Magazine got it wrong.

MV Agusta isn't going anywhere. Benelli is being bought out by the chinese.

They are going to continue production here in Italy.

The information is in this month's Cycle World.

I'd like to add that if you think the quality of a Chinese motorcycle is on par with an Italian motorcycle, you have alot to learn about Chinese industry.

You can beleive what you like, but I don't think you really know what your talking about and have even less idea what others are talking about.

If they move Benelli to China and build them there, they will no longer be Benelli's as the world knows them now, they will just be another Chinese bike. They will be priced like other Chinese bikes, because nobody is going to pay Benelli money for whatever rolls out of the China factory. If anything, they will borrow Benelli R&D and apply it to thier low quality, Chinese bikes. But Benelli's are not going to get any cheaper or any less exotic, unless they new owners fire the entire engineering department, and that would negate any reason to buy an established marque in the first place.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:
