LADIES - thoughts on a Honda XL100

#1 Unread post by Danielle »

Howdy, I'm seriously thinking of starting to ride my own bike despite the fact I have fun riding on the back of my husbands' Ducati ST3 with him. When we were putting his bike in storage in an airplane hangar, I noticed an old Honda that was in mint condition, 140 miles on it, supposedly bought for the hangar owner's wife. It looks like a good height for me (5'4") but I have no idea what is a fair price. anyone have any thoughts or suggestions for other starter bikes ? I know it is honda XL100 1973 or 74 model year, has aggressive tires like for an on/off type of bike. no tears, dings or rust. just hasn't been ridden.

thanks so much

First - welcome aboard!

Second - I have no suggestion for you, as I'm not familiar with a bike of that age. You might get a lot more responses by posting this question in either the "Total Talk" or in the "New Riders" forums. Good luck!

Cheers,

I just wanted to respond so you didn't feel ignored - but unfortunately it looks like neither NADA or KBB either go back that far (nada) or have that bike (kbb).

Hopefully someone else will have some better news than that!

I also don't have any thing really useful to say, but from a quick look at photos on google it looks more like a dirt bike than a street bike. It is cute though.
