Any of those bikes seem very good choices for a first ride. The best way to decide between them is to try them out at a local dealer, and see which one fits best.

It would be a good idea to buy used as a first bike, just keep looking into whats available.

Finally, make sure you take the sfety course, this will help you decide on what sort of bike you really want as well as giving you skills that may very well save your life in the first year or so of riding!!
Don't give up.

Not now, not soon, not after being continually knocked down.

If you never give up, you can never truly fail.

Hey buddy if you're having trouble looking for a bike in FL just look at www.cycletrader.com
I used cycletrader and there is none of the 4 bikes I was looking at within 100 miles of where I live. I guess I have to expand my list.

I bought an 05 Rebel as my first bike in 19 years and love it (you can read about it in the reveiw section). I've put alot more miles on it since then and my opinion hasn't changed. In 2 days I'm leaving on a 6 state ride with it and have no worries whatsoever. It's a great bike, runs great and very comfortable. $3000 brand new and 75mpg. Insurance is cheap and it really freaks out harly riders when you pass them on the freeway.
