I think it's the pricetag that makes it the most appealing. From what I've heard, it's going to be quite a bit cheaper than the FJR or KGT and other sport tourers.

Here is a shot I found of it without bags. You have to click on the photo to see it full size. I think it looks respectable without the bags. Looks like an over-fat sportsbike.

Kawi had one here for Biketoberfest. It looks better in person. And yeah, nice upright seating position too. And the hardbags are slick, they come off or on in about 5 seconds. They were still finalizing some of the details however. Frex it had a little glovebox sort of thing on top of the tank right behind the handlebars that was... chintzy.. the Rep was telling me during the dealer intro one guy snapped it off by accident trying to open it the wrong way. So that was going back for a redesign.
