happens to everyone. Good that you're ok. Bike can be replaced but your body can't.

For future reference, don't try to chase Verm down the canyons. Ride your own ride. I have a feeling Verm was riding way too fast (as usual)...

You *absolutely* need a new helmet. It is for one-time use only and it has already done its job. (Or, if you decide to keep it, make sure you fall on the other side next time ;-) ).

 no no no..

I say this again.. I WAS NOT CHASING WERM.

He was actually going slow because of me. At some points he was so slow I felt like over taking him... Great guy to ride with. He right away noticed that he had lost me and came back for me... in less than a min.

I actually learned a lot of things in that ride.

yea. the gear really saved me. big time. or my whole left side would be crushed.

MY ADVICE TO ALL OF YOU... Wear ALL your gear.. even if its a short trip

I used to not wear my pants( I mean armor pants) and some times the jacket too, for short trips

ok, that's cool.

How did you get the bike home? And you already got an estimate?

It is always good to hear someone say that they are glad they had the right gear on as opposed to wishing they had it on.

AAA truck went pass me and I stopped it .. cost me $ 300 to tow it from Little T to LA.

My father has a big van but I didn’t want to call him, since he would be panicked and get my mom to have a heart attack.

That's the worst phone call in the world to make!
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
