Shelly,
I recognize your concerns, but in all due respect, I think they are quite misplaced. What MotoF150 has done, regarding the Suzuki Boulevard M50, is create confusion bordering on slander. Those of us who've been here awhile know to ignore him, but the misdirection he provides to newcomers is a serious issue. I don't know exactly what Will had in mind when he started the M50 lovers club, but I'm guessing he's promoting a positive image for a bike that's been unfairly and grossly maligned in this forum, mostly by one individual. That's a far remove from baiting or trolling. The thread would run a natural and benign course if MotoF150 would let it be.
A few months ago a Harley Owners Group subforum was created here, partly to counteract the brand-bashing some Harley owners had observed in the general forums. It was a positive step, but to take your views to their logical conclusion, it shouldn't have happened because it would hurt the feelings of the Harley-bashers?
Regards,
Jonathan

My intents witht his topic are very simple:
I really enjoy my motorcycle, and I noticed that there are other M50 owners that felt the same way.
So why not get them to post all in one place and say "I love my M50 too!"
unfortunately, I knew that by asking this question I would get a negative response from ONE individual. I didn't *want* this, I just knew it to be true. Since everytime I've ever mentioned ENJOYING my OWN MOTORCYCLE since I've been here, this person has felt the need to say that no, obviously, I cannot enjoy my OWN bike, because they think theirs is bad.
So without further ado...I love my M50!

There's also a Delphi forum called Marauder-Intruder Group (MIG) that now includes Boulevards too: Marauder-Intruder Group
(Note: this often comes up on an advertisement page you have to click past to get to MIG. Folks familiar with Delphi forums will know what I mean.)

that is looking at it from a different perspective. i dont really know all that moto150 has said, but if its really that bad, then maybe a banning is in place.jstark47 wrote:Shelly,

I get your point. You should've said at the beginning of the thread that you didn't want moto150 posting. This thread looks to be in retaliation against moto, it just seems like your picking a fight. It's against my nature to argue, i just wanted to tell you what i thought. Maybe i just took it the wrong way, but i still stand by what i said.BlueBomber wrote:My intents witht his topic are very simple:

Do you think MotoF150 is...*ahem* horribly mistaken?

Well said, Shelly.
MotoF150 isn't slandering the bike. He has made it clear these are his opinions and why. As ridiculous as some of his posts are, he is entitled to his opinion. He has done nothing that warrants banning him....but Moto, you have said you would feel guilty unloading the bike on someone else, but there are obviously plenty of folks who would be happy with your bike. Why don't you just sell it to someone who still thinks it's a value even after you have told them what you think of it. Then maybe we can put this nonsense behind us. We can stop picking on you because of your opinion of your bike and pick on you because you said you have to pay your buddies to ride with you, or something like that...
Moto you do bring alot of this on yourself.

Because you cannot sell something that doesn't exist in the first place.Zagnut wrote:Well said, Shelly.

Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Zagnut, I don't know if you were around when Moto joined. His initial comments about his M50 were received seriously and sympathetically, and many helpful suggestions were offered. The topic should have come to a natural close then, but it didn't. Instead Moto has taken every opportunity to denigrate the M50 specifically and Suzuki in general. Long, long ago it crossed the line from legitimate forum give-and-take to personal vendetta. There's no evidence that Moto has ever taken any steps to resolve his gripe with Suzuki. This makes me distrust the honesty of his motives - he's more interested in complaining than in fixing the situation. If his motive is to slam Suzuki instead of to fix the problem, then slander is a reasonable conclusion.Zagnut wrote:Well said, Shelly. MotoF150 isn't slandering the bike. I've never suggested banning him. I do wish he would stop bragging, stop spreading misinformation about topics he obviously knows little about, and stop wearing out everyone's patience with his tantrums about his M50. None of those things warrants banishment. But they are fair grounds for elevation to the exalted position of ......... Forum Klown!!Zagnut wrote:He has done nothing that warrants banning him....

yeah, I've read back thru just about every thread on this board, and you are right. People's views on him have been formed over time. That's why I said he brings this on himself.
And I agree he needs to "dodo or get off the pot, with regards to his alleged bike. I think he likes the attention.. He knows he's fueling the fire.
