I've ridden it a couple of times. Definitely different than my dirtbike! The reason it does not have front brakes right now is because back in the day it was the "in" thing to do, not have front brakes that is, or so I'm told. Yes it probably is big for a beginner.

A lot of custom-type bikes are going with no a front brake setup. As qwerty mentioned in my brakes post, a big fat rear tire can do thetrick for a lot of cruisers.
Seeing as how I'm open to the idea of making crazy brake designs, just make sure you can stop safely!
