looking for a good magazine

#1 Unread post by dean owens »

to continue learning, i want to find a good magazine. i'm interested in cruiser types of bikes. the only mag i've bought was v-twin. although it was cool, it seemed to be mostly about custom choppers and customizing them. i want a mag about all cruisers (harley, hondas, etc.) and articles that have the goods and bads on them. is there such a thing? thanks for your help.

Roadbike is pretty good. So is Motorcycle Cruiser. I've also started reading Friction Zone (best part it is free from my local scooter shop)

I like Sport Rider and Motorcyclist the best thus far.

TWO was also a very good magazine but it's European based and about $12 for a copy here in the states.

And if I ever find Bike I'll give that one a read too. Heard it's good as well but it's another European mag.
Have fun on the open /¦\

Any magazine that doesn't have a chopper, knobbies, or a 90%-naked girl on the cover. Motocycle Cruiser is good for the information you want, but the girls are only half-naked.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

Superbike, another Brit mag, has a lot of good gear and riding tips. It is a sportbike mag, but usually has good general tips, plus a centerfold :naughty:

I found American Iron and Ironworks magazines very informative. They mainly do Harleys and Choppers. Also great articles.

Bike is anti-Harley, and against cruisers in general, but it has excellent coverage of everything else.

It has the best coverage of advanced riding techniques I've seen, among TWO, RIDE, Motorcylce Cruiser, and Performance Bikes (UK mag).

I like Bike.

thanks guys. you've given me some to track down and take a look at. and i want to stay away from the half naked ladies (campus minister) but i don't mind choppers. and i actually like harleys, i just know that i need to learn about other bikes seeing as how i won't own a harley or a chopper any time soon. so i'd like to know about what other cruisers are on the market (not excluding harleys - it actually be nice if they were included as well) and some basic riding info.

so, thanks guys for your time. i appreciate it
