A group of us are going hiking...yes...in the rain. We have learned that we can't depend on having nice days, so we go regardless.
I'd settle for 55 degrees and raining right about now for a ride. Done it before, hoping it'd clear up. It didn't. It got worse. To the point i had to pull over because i couldn't see (between fog and rain IN my visor from trying to clear fog) and wait it out.

Jeez Doc, what are you depressed about?

Here's the 14 day forcast for BuzzWorld....

Winter Sucks

The worst part is.... the weather ain't really all that bad for this locale at this time of year. And the end of next week looks almost warm.... still 2 feet of snow on the ground puts a bullet in the head of any hopes of riding..... :frusty: .... for a couple more months.... :frusty: :frusty:

And... come Monday, I will be outside in that krap rebuilding a Caterpillar 3516. Ever try running 100's of bolts in & out with frozen digits?

Now THAT'S depressing.....

Bring on the rain... that's what I say.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

Gummi has the right idea with his Ural.

This time of year I have to fight myself to not run out and join the ranks of thr Russisn Mounted Riders.... well the bank has alot to say about it, too. And they say...."You want how much? BwaaaHaaawHaaa!!!"

:(
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

Oh man. I'm so bored in the winter. There's no snow, so no parking lot fun. Too cold to ride for me. Too much sand as well. And too little money for insurance and registration, and too many cops to not care.

I've been reduced to flicking my knife open and closed for the past 30 minutes or so. And to top it off, i stabbed my finger. Call 911! Just kidding, it didn't even break the skin. Good thing my knife isn't too sharp. That or all this cooking over a hot grill has cooked my skin into armor on my fingers.

WTB: Something to do, please send PM. Also looking for friends, pluses if they're Female Brand friends. Also need training wheels for my Hayabusa. Cell phone is 1-555-555-5566.

hmm... diesel motorcycle project?

PS - I think I've finally cracked and gone crazy. I'm probably going to need heavy medication if I don't get this job at the stealership

Rock on Buzzzz! That snow's gotta melt sometime.

Blues, us "seasonals" will eventually get back to riding... but in the meantime... skiing again next week (woot!) and to pass the time tonight... gonna be at the Oilers/Atlanta hockey game... (uhhh... go Oilers?)
Ya right, there are only 2 kinds of bikes: It's a Ninja... look that one's a Harley... oh there's a Ninja... Harley...Ninja...

If you end up skiing at Nakiska, we might happen to see you there (Thursday, Friday and Sat.) At least you are not watching the Flames (currently down by 3 goals after the first period). I was there to watch them throw away a 2 goal lead in the last 5 minutes on Tuesday :frusty:

You live in central Alberta and have the knowledge and ability to rebuild a 3516 Cat...isn't that pretty much a license to print money? Not that it'll help the frozen fingers any though.

I keep hearing that..... but my 'printing press' must be busted. :?

O.K., I admit I am decently(not overly) paid, but the only way to make serious coin is to hammer the overtime hours. I spent my youth doing that up north.... no life, no fun, killer taxes, cost me the first wife(and the house, car, furniture, credit, left nut), extreme burn-out and health and welfare issues. Basically, I'm getting too old and lazy to pound 100+ hr/7 day weeks anymore. And the new Health and Safetly rules limit us to 12-14 hr days, depending on travel time and distances involved. Too many guys getting mangled by falling heads and falling from cylinder blocks onto steel grating and pipes.....

I find I rather enjoy being home and eating homemade food everynight.... plus it's nice to see the wife everyday(cheaper too).
No Witnesses.... :shifty:
