I keep seeing all of these great deals monthly for ninja ( didja know the plural of ninja is ninja? ) sport bikes and even some of them in my home town, but alas I'm not there to buy them. Grrrr... but on a bright note I may be leaving mid April instead of mid May.

Well I'm living in the Yucatan, which is southern MX. I'm originally from Santa Rosa, California and will be moving back there in a few months, at which point I intend to take my MSF and enrole in the local junior college's culinary arts program. It'll be good to be back. I've been living in MX for a little over two years and it's time to come home.

wow, didn't think so many people would speak Spanish.

Well my folks retired about two and a half years ago and to make their money last longer they moved down to Mexico. They visited about a year before they retired and just fell in love with it. Kind of a suprise for me though.

4th of July 2004, on the way to a party.

Duke: Well we're selling the house and moving to Mexico.

Me: What do you mean "we"?

But I'm a minor so I had to either come with them or move in with my grandparents, in hindsight moving in with my grandparents may have been better. However I'm 18 in April so that means I can get my a** back to Cali and into college, something I'm looking forward to.

The plan was catch a flight in mid May, but a good friend is making a trip up to San Francisco anyways so I might leave mid April with him. It's probably better to do it that way so I can haul all my stuff back with me, I don't exactly fancy trying to cram all of my worldly things into two 50lb check-in bags.

I don't actually know Spanish. I used the Babel translator. :)

I have some friends that retired early and now they spend half the year in Mexico and half the year in BC. They also fell in love with where they are in Lareto.
They golf. They eat, sleep, talk, think golf. I think it's an obsession. So they live beside a golf course in both places.

April will be here before you know it. Do you parents know of your plan?
