brake light problem

brake light problem
hey people just a little question for ya i have a harley 883r as you know but the rear brake light is not coming on when the bike is started but when i apply the brakes it works any ideas of what the porblem is
Bikes,women and work the three things that keep a man happy,But of course the bike is the best!

Might be as simple as a fried bulb. thanks that is what tyhe harley shop has told me as i called them i just wanted another view and it was the same thanks alot!
