Why aren't the same requirements made to teach cagers to drive properly? Kal, feel free to give some insight or anyone in the EU or UK.
Difficult to answer really... I guess the long and the short of it is having a first car that can do 0-60 in under 5 seconds is a rarity. Bikes, have a much heavier power to weight ratio, that focuses the governments attention, as its easier to justify the legislation.

You don't really expect governments to waste precious tax payers money legislating on the hard topics do you? Not when theres an "easy win" one, that seems a great idea to most of the non-riding population. Government is all about perception now, theres rarely any proof required, nor experience needed to legislate on a topic anymore

why?

if you enroll in some martial arts, you could just say you're on the way to the dojo or visiting your sensei as an excuse to the cop. hehehehe

right now, i have no excuse anymore for having swords in my trunk since i already quit my JP swordsmanship training.

Hmmm... you can't have swords in the trunk of your car? Why? Is it technically a concealed weapon or something?

I've actually considered getting into matial arts, to stay in shape. I was going to the gym before I got sick and I'll probably start it up again, same with yoga.

Anybody out there practice a martial art? What are the pros and cons?

I have taken tae kwon do for the past 10 years and Brazilian Jiu jitsu for the past 4 years.

Pro: too many. I love it.

Cons: $$$$$$$, TIME, commitment, motivation

IMO It costs tons of money and time and it is just hard to keep up after the first year or so. The first year can be quite painful and frustrating, you need to start stretching your legs as soon as you can.

bring it. :starwars: :shooting: :shooting2: :tazer:

yeah, but I have no match for a weapon lol.

btw next month will be 5 th year of Jiu jitsu and two months from now will be my 11th year.

You know what really pisses me off? When schools just give out black belts like they give out candy. I mean to please the students they offer the black belt in just one year, then the second degree maybe just TWO years after..

I got my black belt after two and a half years. Five years later, I got my 2nd degree which is my current belt as of now.
