Survey: What brand of oil filter do you use most?
I also use the SuperTech from Walmart on my Vulcan. Very highly rated and quite inexpensive. http://www.gadgetjq.com/oilfilters.htmZooTech wrote:I'm using a spin-on by SuperTech that costs $2.00 and is 3/4" longer than OEM for more filtration and oil capacity.
Hard to answer this as the oils have been changed only once on all three bikes under our care so far.
VTR250 --> Union Sangyo brand from the shop ~ $5
Vulcan --> ?? from same shop ~ $5
ST2 --> Champion is going in next, also from same shop ~ $10
Out here what we use is often what we are able to find at the shops or in stores when it coms to maintenance supplies. Back in the States, our preferences would be much more steady.

Avoid using automotive filters in a motorcycle. Most car filters have a much higher blow by than motorcycles. (blow by is in case your filter clogs) Most cars run more oil pressure than bikes. ( at least true of older bikes) Harley has over the years published this info in their service/dealer updates as well as the Enthusiast, but I can't remember dates.
