You posted right after me and Im really getting the bug! bad I bought another bike yesterday!!! a Non-Running Kawasaki 250 Ninja I saw it on craigs list went to look a very clean machine it stopped on previous owner and wont start wont crank Well here goes nothing paid $550.00 I guess I can part it out for that If I cant get it running But i got a good vibe from it and the PO was totally not any thing at all mechanical his grand dad had to help him put a new battery in a few days ago in a attempt to start it ! But new battery did not help Suggestions Thanks

First thing is to find out if the motor is locked up. Put the bike on its centerstand and remove the spark plugs. While sitting on the left side of the bike roll the rear wheel in the forward direction and shift the bike to second. Bump the engine with the rear wheel and shift to third. Continue until your in top gear (fifth or is it sixth), the engine should be fairly easy to turn over with the rear wheel now.
