Parking on the Sidewalk?

$50 is what it cost me in the early 90s.
When sitting in a restaurant with a row of bikes out front, one should pay atttention when all the riders from the patio get up to leave at once. We watched them leave, then figured out that they were leaving to move their bikes as the gestapos were cutting $50 tickets. It was a wide sidewalk and the bikes were out of the way but it didn't make it any more legal.
