My bud just bought one of these -- I have searched all over for the power specs on this (torque & HP bands) and can't find them. does anyone know where to get them?

Sounds about right, August 05 Rider dyno run shows 45.1 HP at 5900 rpm and 44.8 lb-ft torque at 3400 rpm for the EFI M-50.
Earlier Dec 01 MCN showed 39.9 HP at 6000 rpm and 42.5 lb-ft torque at 4000 rpm for 02 Volusia with carbs.
The Volusia got a nice little HP boost from the EFI when it became the C-50.

That's for sure, they definitely got a boost over the carbs. The real problem with the carbs is that they ran SO lean. Plus to make them pass emissions, they also used a PAIR valve to add more air to the exhaust. After the EFI, they don't have the PAIR valve and they also don't need to warm up for so long...
