My new child....
Cats can be a lot of fun if you keep something in mind. A cat will deal with a human on it's own terms and only when it's good and ready. And not before.
We "inherited" a kitten a while back. This thing wandered into a friend's ex's place and was taken in. Small, skinny and missing a small part of it's tail. Then proceeded to beat up her own cat.
She promptly dropped it off at my friend's house. He had a 18 pound cat already in his home. After the 2-3 pound kitten sent the big one to the vet (TWICE!) he was ready to find it a new home.
My wife was wanting to get a new cat but we had a slight problem. A 120 pound rottweiler that had never really been around cats. Every one he saw he chased and thought that was the way it was supposed to be.
We agreed to take the kitten on a trial basis. Rott runs up to the kitten and the cat just stands there before moving to higher ground. After getting swatted in the nose a few times a truce was declared.
Now they get along fine. Sometimes some chasing ensues but it is a toss-up on who is doing the chasing. If the cat tries to go out and the rott thinks it is not time yet he will step on the cat until the door closes. Cat ignores the beagle but will go after any other cats or dogs that come into our yard.
Big fun.
I have also caught the cat sitting on the bike seat while the bike is warming up. Maybe I should put it in the tank bag to act as a deterrent against thieves!

I would be the old, slow guy. Just let me know where you are going and I'll try to get there before you leave.

this breed is actually rare. Dont assume that everyone that gets a cat is gonna let it go outside and breed with just any ole cat out there. I am thinking of becoming a breeder for this type of cat and thus my intentions of not getting it fixed. Im not going to just take the cat and let it get anything pregnant. My other 2 cats are fixed but they are just common cats.NightNurse wrote:He is adorable!!
Please get him fixed! Thousands of cats are euthanized due to over population each year. Breeding cats needs to be stopped.
