Nah. My new bike comes with a warning not to exceed 117 with a top case. I think it is just aerodynamics of the wind catching the case.storysunfolding wrote:... All givi luggage comes with a warning saying not to exceed certain speeds due to instabilities the luggage may cause. Is it the bike's fault or is it the way it's accessorized?

BTW, the Sporty is the lightest Harley but is the most "top heavy". But that makes it turn better and drop easier if you hit the front brake at a stop sign and the wheel isn't straight. But is is a heck of ride. Put over 24,300 miles on one in 22 months. Would have been over 30,000 but this was a cold and icey winter.
My new bike weighs the same, but it is lower down.
I've ridden an Ultra which is heavier, but less "tippy".
Not a fatal flaw.
