To non-riders, ALL cruisers are Harleys and EVERY sportbike is a Ninja.

And just to point something else out. The anti-harley guy is just as snobberish as any beanie wearing dentist trailering his bike to sturgis while applying henna tattoos to his arms from the shoulders down, and wailing about how a metric cruiser won't Ever find a home with HIM by god.
I also irrationally hate the French and the Welsh...
Hating the French is a universal right. Scooters on the other hand...well look at it this way.
They are out there facing all the stupid homicidal cagers right along side of us....without near the amount of get up and go. By my accounting that gives the scooteriders big nutz....many props to those crazy bastages.
Dyin'? Boy, he can have this little life any time he wants to. Do ya hear that? Are ya hearin' it? Come on. You're welcome to it, ol' timer. Let me know you're up there. Come on. Love me, hate me, kill me, anything. Just let me know it.
Usually the people who ask "Are you getting a Harley!?" have no idea about bikes or riding. They've bought into what corporate America has drummed into their heads.
You ride what you can afford and what you like. I ride a Yamaha. It's a good bike and about $7000 cheaper than a Harley and, in my opinion, looks just as good.
So like I said, buy what you like and can afford. And don't listen to those who have no idea what they're talking about. If you like Harleys or Dukatis, who cares. Buy something you like and can afford and enjoy it.

Big nutz? Ya wanna see big nutz? I was at the Motogiro rally weekend before last. Those guys spend 2 days riding around on 50-year-old 100 - 200cc bikes.... on public roads. Those guys got big nutz!!
....and to bring this back on topic, there was one of the Harley-branded Aeromacchi's from the early '60's in the rally. Cool.
