They have a bazillion pics of people's SVs showing their mods. Lots of custom paint jobs.

Already on SVRider - and the "pictures of your bike" thread is really the only one I visit - that forum is almost as "bad" as BARF.com. . .incidentally - the BOTM winner in April is what got me thinking of that kind of paint scheme. In my wilder dreams, I wouldn't mind a yellow SV also. . .o_0

Nikon D80 with a 50MM f/1.8D lens. The b&w mode on it is fantastic, minimal level adjustment in PS. So much better (in usability) than my old D50. Takes the same kind of pictures, just slightly larger.

Thanks. Those shots look awesome! I just recently bought a used digital Rebel for my wife - I find myself getting curious about people's gear when I see shots like that.

I debated getting a Rebel XTi to replace the D50 I had, but ended up with going with what I know. I will say if I ever get an all-purpose P&S (videos, quick pictures), itll be a Canon - the S5 IS in particular.

Every time I sit on this machine, I fall in love again. I really wish my daily commute was longer than it is (a paltry 8 miles or so on the freeway. . .12 or so taking roads).

One thing I do not like - is traffic. . .my goodness, its been like 3/4 days in a row when I've gotten stuck in some NASTY business. I went to the dealership on Friday to get a tank bag (they didn't have one I wanted, and theres were more expensive than online, but figured - eh, if I can toss it on the finance card why not) and my god, I think I rode the clutch for about 10 miles of the entire trip. My temp was like 230 by the time I got to the dealership.
