Hello from Kentucky

#1 Unread post by Super Dave »

I'm Dave. I've never rode a motorcycle but needed another cheap, gas efficient vehicle. And the fact that my wife and I share one car was an incentive to get one. So i bought a scooter(i know i should have bought a bicycle). It's a 150cc so it gets speed enough to not be tailgated. I'm taking the MSF course next month but i don't plan on getting a motorcycle for a few years.

I feel like an outsider riding a scooter but I'm surprised at how many people ride them in a college town. So even though i don't ride a motorcycle i still feel like i've entered a new community with a lot of nice people. I even got the rider's secret greeting from 2 guys on cruisers and i was riding a scooter

Nothing wrong with scooters! They're definitely more fuel efficient than most motorcycles and, as long as it suits your needs, why get something else?

Hope you enjoy the site! :tmwsign:

Welcome aboard! We have a couple of scooter riders on the forums, so you're not alone here. Enjoy your new-found transportational mode.

Cheers,
