THANK YOU. HATE high beams.Lion_Lady wrote:Please consider how BRIGHT your highbeam is, and how it is aimed, before you decide to do this. I HATE it when a motorcycle comes up behind me with their brights ON and aimed at my rearview mirror.rugaluga wrote:PlEASE RIDE WITH YOUR HIGH BEAMS ON !!! There still people that will cut you off but trust me I notice a steady decline when my brights are on.. DId you take an MSF course? One of the first things that is taught..

I like flw's advice. I'm not shy about sounding the horn in intersections, esp. when somebody's waiting to make a left turn -- even if I think they see me. If they look annoyed I'll give a little "what can you do?" wave.
I think it's saved me at least twice: I'll see the tires starting to move and suddenly stop. Cagers tend to freeze when the hear a horn, even if they can't see where it's coming from.
But it's not a cure-all. Damn cell phones.

Be prepared for anything... just in case. I've only had a car do the left thing to me once and that was scary, even scarier was the gixxer that turned left in front of me & I had to swerve and brake to avoid him. Scariest: the car driving the wrong way down a street towards me one dark evening.
Ya right,
there are only 2 kinds of bikes: It's a Ninja... look that one's a Harley... oh there's a Ninja... Harley...Ninja...

I put some SOLAS stickers on the front end of my bike and so far I've had less people turn left in front of me when I'm nearby. I'll prolly post some pics soon to show you my front and rear end set up and how I OD'd on visibility.
One thing you can count on: You push a man too far, and sooner or later he'll start pushing back.
