What inspired you to ride?
What inspired you to ride?
This is going to seem really silly...but I had never thought about riding until a little while back (~two weeks). In fact, me and one of my friends had a running inside joke about biker gangs coming out of the wilderness to kill us.
I saw a Honda commercial for one of their new bikes, and something went off in my head. It started off like everything does with me- first I'll say/think it's impossible and my nature will eventually lead me to doing it. I learned more and more (thanks to Total Motorcycle and EPinions.com!), and now it's something that I'm fully looking forward to.
So speak up- what inspired you to ride, regardless of how goofy or serious it was?

i was a jealous bastid. a good friend has been riding for years and hes always bugged me to get a bike. i honestly wanted one when i was 16 like most people but got the thumbs down from the rents of course. fast forward 18 years later and im finally having the fun i never thought i would. it didnt help that i went looking for a new bike with him recently too. seeing all the brand new bikes, well its probably like what a crack addiction is.
but i guess both addictions are dangerous though.

I caught the bug at an early age, passed down from a couple of uncles who gave me rides on their H-Ds and Nortons when I was just a little fellow. I think I got hooked on the first ride... now it seems almost unavoidable that I would become a rider.
Let me get this straight... it's one down and four up, right?

say what
I'd been riding dirtbikes for years back in high school, but never really caught "the bug" for street riding until I joined the Air Force. Several of my fellow dorm rats had bikes and would loudly ride them here and there, and I got -so- jealous, but knew I couldn't afford to buy, much less maintain, a decent sportsbike.
Fast forward to a month ago. I have the finances, I have the will. I have a bike.

I just figure it's a more fun way to get from point A to point B, and many rides in between.
I've always wanted a motorcycle. I turned 16 and my mom told me not while I'm living under her roof. I almost got one when I was 18, but then joined the US Marine Corps. Finally, in the Marine Corps, I was able to get one. I love it.
